The late DMX
The news outlet says DMX's family members are not doing anything of the sort, and they actually want to inform members of the public that any campaign suggesting otherwise is false and unconnected to them.
They disclosed that they are well aware of scammers out there soliciting finances in the late rapper's name and they want fans to be careful. Also, they are not selling any of the late hip hop star's merchandise at the moment because none of them authorized and they are not making profits from it.
Another wild rumour is Jay-Z and Beyonce purchasing DMX's masters for $10 million for the purpose of giving his kids the money. This, his family insists, is not true.

Since his recent passing, DMX has been honoured by his many fans who have continued to pay him tributes. A makeshift memorial was created by them outside the hospital he was treated, with a prayer vigil held a few days after he died.
He will be honoured in some capacity at his hometown of Yonkers where it was suggested by the mayor that his family hold a public memorial at its popular motorway.
