DMX's Posthumous Album To Be Named After His Youngest Son

DMX's Posthumous Album To Be Named After His Youngest Son

Thanks to a longtime collaborator of late rapper DMX, a posthumous album is in the works and it will be named after the hip hop legend's youngest son.

TMZ reveals that plans for the album were underway before the demise of DMX and the CEO of Ruff Ryders Inc., Joaquin Dean, spoke to the news outlet revealing that the posthumous album will be titled Exodus.

DMX had been working on the album for the past year and the idea to name it after his youngest son was borne out of his growing closeness to the 4-year-old whom he shares with widowed fiancee Desiree.

According to Dean, the deceased rapper had told his longtime friend, music producer Swizz Beatz, about he wanted to name the album after his son.

Swizz Beatz reportedly helped in the production of Exodus and now is committed to making DMX's wish about the music project come to fruition.

Apart from the title, there are two songs on the album that reference DMX's relationship with his son; Exodus Skit and Letter to my Son (Call Your Father).

Before his passing, DMX had gotten a tattoo of the name 'Exodus' on his body.

Speaking further, Dean said that there would be "ryde outs" for the album release where people would take to the streets in all manner of vehicles to pay tribute to DMX as they did at his funeral.
