Dokpesi: Governor Yahaya Mourns, Condoles Family Of Media Mogul

The Governor of Gombe State, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, is mourning the demise of High Chief Raymond Aleogho Dokpesi, who died aged 71.

Late Dokpesi was the founder of DAAR communications, owners of the African Independent Television (AIT) and Raypower FM.

The Governor also sent his deepest condolences to the family members of the late media mogul and the management of DAAR communications over the loss.

Governor Yahaya, in a condolence message on Tuesday, paid tribute to the late media mogul, politician and entrepreneur.

As contained in a statement by Ismaila Uba Misilli, spokesperson to the governor, Yahaya described the deceased as a pacesetter in private broadcasting and media industry in general.

He added that the deceased's legacy would continue "to linger on in the media and political fabrics". 

"On behalf of the government and people of Gombe State, I convey our heartfelt and deepest condolences to the entire management and staff of African Independent Television (AIT) and Raypower FM, as well as family, friends and associates of this great man who impacted the media world like a colossus.

"It is our our sincere prayer that God Almighty Will repose the soul of the deceased and grant those he left behind, the fortitude to bear the huge loss," Misilli quoted the governor.
