Don't Be Fooled To Leave PDP - Melaye Warns

Former Representative of Kogi West Senatorial District at the Nigerian Senate, Dino Melaye has warned members of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) not to be fooled to leave the party.

Melaye who took to his known Twitter page on Wednesday to dish out the advice said that the APC is not a party to trust.

Warning that those who are planning to defect to the ruling APC will regret their decision Melaye tweeted:

“Those planning to leave PDP, my humble advice. The only APC man you can trust is the dead APC man. Don’t be a fool. SDM.”

Melaye's advice is coming after the Governor of Ebonyi State Dave Umahi and Adamawa Senator Elisha Abbo dumped PDP for APC.

It will be recalled that Umahi who dumped PDP in October explained that his decision to dump the party was as a result of the injustice meted on the South-East region by PDP.

While other notable politicians dumped the party to join the ruling party, Melaye is warning that they will regret their decision.

It will be recalled that Melaye had in 2018, dumped the ruling party to join PDP alongside 15 other lawmakers.

Melaye who was declared the winner of the Kogi wast senatorial district election held in 2019, was sacked by the Supreme court in 2020 and was replaced by Smart Adeyemi of the APC.
