After months of moving against the tide of voices in support of face mask wearing, US President Donald Trump donned a face mask for the first time in public on Saturday.
Trump who had made his anti-face mask wearing a political drama, describing the coronavirus as a "flu" and nothing to be hysterical about, wore a face mask at the Walter Reed Military Hospital in Washington to meet wounded war veterans.
Trump had made directed jeers in Democratic Party hopeful Joe Biden's way over his face mask wearing.

As he left the White House to the hospital, Trump claimed that he had never been against the wearing of face masks, but he believes that there is always a "time and place" for that.
He said, "I've never been against masks but I do believe they have a time and a place.
"I think when you're in a hospital, especially in that particular setting, where you're talking to a lot of soldiers and people that, in some cases, just got off the operating tables, I think it's a great thing to wear a mask."
