Don't Leave Education For The Government — Adamu Adamu

Adamu Adamu, Nigeria's Minister of Education has urged the private sector to contribute to the growth of the education sector of the nation.

The Minister who maintained that the government alone could not take up the responsibility alone commended the Wavecrest College of Hospitality for its assistance in the sector.

Adamu was represented by the Deputy Rector, Administration, Yaba College of Technology, Uduak Inyang-Udoh, during the combined convocation ceremony of Wavecrest College last weekend.

The college graduated 236 Higher National Diploma (HND) and National Diploma (ND) students for the 2018/2019 and 2021/2022 sessions.

“Nowhere in the world that education is left in the hands of the government.

"The private sector has a role to play and we celebrate with the women’s board educational cooperation society for the role it played in contributing to the education development of the nation, especially in hospitality management,” Adamu said.

He advised the graduating students to improve on what they have gathered in the school by acquiring more skills to become job creators rather than job seekers.
