Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) has, on Thursday, announced the release of a second vaccine that will help fight the Ebola virus in the eastern part of the country.
Doctors Without Borders (MSF) said that the newly introduced vaccine was made by a Belgian subsidiary of Johnson & Johnson, and its goal is to reach about 50,000 people for a period of 4 months.
Since last year, over 250,000 people have been beneficiaries of another anti-Ebola vaccine with over 2,193 people since August 2018
The Doctors Without Borders team has stated that those who will be getting the first dose of the vaccine will be requested to return for completion of the process.
