Dutse Emir Receives Army Brigade Commander, Pledges Support

The Emir of Dutse in Jigawa State, Alhaji Hamim Nuhu Sanusi, has received the Commander of the 26 Armoured Brigade in the LGA, Brigadier General Haruna Muhammad Abubakar.

The Emir while receiving the commander and his delegation at the palace, applauded the establishment of the 26 Armoured Brigade in Dutse.

He further pledged to support the Nigerian Army to succeed in the state.

HRH Hamim, expressed his delight for having a major Army formation in his Emirate.

While commending the leadership of the Nigerian Army for establishing the Brigade in Dutse, he explain that hosting such formation will bring alot of benefit to his people.

The commander was at the palace as part of his familiarization tour of his area of responsibility. 

Speaking during the visit, the commander appreciated the Emir and members of his council for the warm reception accorded him and his entourage.

He explained that the 26 Brigade is among the newly established Brigade in Nigerian Army to curtail the influx of criminal elements into the country. 

He added that his visit was to enhance synergy with the traditional institution in the state. 

Abubakar further assured that the brigade would operate professionally within the confines of the Nigerian constitution and the Army code of conduct.
