President Muhammadu Buhari has been petitioned by a political youth organisation under the aegis of ODOHmeters over the continued destruction of the billboards of the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) Prof. Benard Odoh in Ebonyi State.
Speaking in a statement by its Director General, Eze Onyebuchi and made available to newsmen in Abakaliki, the group on Saturday also asked Governor Dave Umahi to caution Ebubeagu Operatives to desist from further alleged destruction of the billboards.
“We don’t intend to engage in violence with our own brothers. We demand that you use your good office to investigate this situation.
"If really these people carrying out these lawless activities are members of Ebubeagu, they should be warned to desist from such acts.
“They should focus on the job they were called to do by liaising with the Police and other relevant agencies to ensure that there is adequate protection of lives and properties in the State.
“Let those behind the senseless attack on Odoh’s billboards and his other campaign materials be brought to justice.
"Everyone supporting Odoh’s candidacy should be allowed to go about their campaigns unhindered", the group said.
