Economic Downturn: Youths Produce 'Kogi Garri'

The youths of Kogi State in an effort to solve the issues of economic hardship and produce affordable goods have launched 'Kogi Garri.'

This is setting the stage for creativity while  not depending to get white collar jobs which is scarce in Nigeria.

Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello has lauded the initiative, calling it innovative and diversifying. 

The Governor said this while Unveiling the 'Kogi Garri' from Junimab Ventures on Saturday in Lokoja, the state capital.

Represented by His Chief of Staff, Pharm. Abdulkareem Asuku, the Governor described the unrelented efforts of the Kogi Young Entrepreneur, Hon. Olajide Favour Onize as Amazing and Encouraging.

"These are the types of people we are interested in promoting, who are not depending on Government alone to add value to their life and society. 

"We are proud of you and Kogi people will love to patronise a product that is made In Kogi State. 

"This is a product that is processed and packaged on Kogi soil.

"I can assure you that Kogi Garri is better than Garri Ijebu or any other garri that you can find around here."
