Edo Decides 2020: Obaseki’s Aide Challenges INEC On Credible Election

Edo Decides 2020: Obaseki’s Aide Challenges INEC On Credib

Crusoe Osagie, the Special Adviser on media to the Edo State Governor and the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Godwin Obaseki, has alleged that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) is manipulating the ongoing gubernatorial election.

In a statement on Saturday, Osagie complained that voters are being disenfranchised through the manipulation of card readers. He also lamented that an act of sabotage is ongoing in places where Obaseki is popular.

“Suddenly card readers are not working in areas where Governor Godwin Obaseki is very popular.

“Specifically, in Oredo Ward 1, Unit 20 and other places where the governor is clearly popular, the card readers are not working.

”The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) should prove to Edo voters that it can conduct a credible election in Edo State,” he said.
