Edo Decides 2020: PDP Mocks Ize-Iyam Says EFCC is Waiting for Him

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Edo state has mocked the Governorship candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC) Osagie Ize-Iyamu over his ongoing N700 million trial with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

Making a mockery of Ize-Iyamu in a video released on the official handle of the PDP on Tuesday during the election campaign of Obaseki at Edo North, the Deputy Governor of the state, Philip Shaibu, was heard with some other supporters Chorousing 'Pastor you are a loser, EFCC is Waiting for You'.

Further ridiculing the former National Chairman of the APC, Adams Oshiomhole, Shaibu played a recorded audio from the former chairman's speech in 2016 where he (Oshiomhole) was praising Obaseki and making a mockery of Ize Iyamu.

Shaibu alongside other supporters chorused the song sang by Oshiomhole for Ize-Iyamu in 2016 where he called him a loser and told him that EFCC was waiting for him.

Ize-Iyamu who is currently the candidate of APC at the forthcoming Governorship election in Edo state and Oshiomhole's favourite to win the Edo Governorship election seat will be battling the incumbent governor and 12 others for the Governorship seat come September 19.

It will be recalled that Ize-Iyamu had last month appeared before the federal high court in Benin over charges bordering on an alleged N700 million money laundering case filed against them by EFCC.

The court however adjourned Ize-Iyamu's trial till October 15 2020.
