Edo Decides 2020: See Joint Security Alert Lines Released By Nigerian Police

Ahead of the Edo State governorship election, the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) has released a joint security control room call-in line.

The alert line which consists of a dedicated phone number for calls and another dedicated phone number for WhatsApp and text messages was released on the official Twitter page of the Nigerian police.

According to the tweet, the numbers were released by the co-ordinating Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) for the Edo State Governorship election, DIG Adeleye Oyebade.

"Edo September 19 Governorship Election, DIG Adeleye Oyebade, mni, the coordinating DIG, Edo 2020 Guber Elections releases Election Security Joint Operations Control Room dedicated phone numbers - Calls Only: 08154352118, SMS/WHATSAPP: 08154350436," the tweet read.

There have been predictions and forecasts that the forthcoming governorship election in Edo state will be marred by violence.

These predictions came in the heat of violence that marred the election campaigns of the different political parties participating.
