Edo Election Update:  INEC AD-Hoc Staff Abandon Election Mat

Ad-hoc staff of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) have abandoned electoral materials at Girls Model Secondary School Ubiaja, Esan south-east local government area of Edo state in protest of the alleged poor treatment they received from the commission.

The aggrieved election officials consisting of presiding officers and assistant presiding officers said aside from not getting their allowance as promised, no provision was made for transportation to move the election materials back to the commission's office in Benin.

According to some of the observers, the officials said they were asked to find a means of moving the materials to Benin.
