All Progressives Congress (APC) stalwart, Adams Oshiomhole has expressed worry about the malfunction of card readers at some polling units, warning the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) not to compromise the outcome of the Edo 2020 governorship election.

AllNews learnt that Oshiomhole, a former National Chairman of the APC stated this after casting his vote in Saturday’s Edo 2020 election at his polling unit: 01, Ward 10 in Uzairue northeast, Etsako West local government area.

Speaking to journalists after casting his vote, Oshiomhole commended the activities of security operatives on the ground in maintaining peace and order during the polls.

The erstwhile Labour leader berated INEC based on his observation that most card readers are not functioning properly at his polling unit, thereby slowing down the process.

He however urged them to be on the lookout for “the criminals will arrive to cause intimidation towards the collation time.”

Meanwhile, suspected thugs stormed Oredo LGA, the local government where governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo State cast his vote.

The thugs were reported to have chased away voters from the voting points and polling units in Ogbe.
