The Kebbi State Governor-elect, Nasir Idris, has said that his administration would prioritize education, agriculture and infrastructure in the state.

Idris made this known on Sunday after the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) announced him the winner of the supplementary election held on Saturday. 

Idris contested under the platform of the All Progressives (APC).

He noted that he would run a people's government to provide functional education in the state. 

He added that the state's education sector needs a massive revolution to improve standard.

"We will fully equip all the schools with modern tools and equipment.

"In all, Kebbi State will no longer lag behind in national examinations and we will take our pride of place in education.

"Teachers will henceforth be getting their rewards here on earth and in the hereafter," he added.

While reiterating his commitment to improve on the Agricultural sector, Idris vowed to ensure that Kebbi State becomes the real food basket of Nigeria. 

"Our people are largely agrarian and the state has been hugely blessed with vast fertile land.

"My administration will inject more life into the sector towards massive food production and bolster food security," he added.

The governor-elect further assured of massive infrastructural development in the state's metropolis. 

He added that he would also embark on massive rural transformation to reward the rural people for their sacrifices and supports.

"We will make it a truly and remarkable city by improving all its infrastructure to make it at par with all cities of the world."

While speaking on the state's security, the governor-elect Idris, said: "We will pursue a solid security architecture development agenda to guarantee the safety of lives and properties of the citizens.

"We will maximize our relationship with all the security agencies to boost the security of lives and properties of the people."
