Education Ministry In Kogi Asks Indigenes To Disregard Rumour Of Extended Resumption Date

Education Ministry In Kogi Asks Indigenes To Disregard Rumou

Kogi State Ministry of Education, Science and Technology (KSMEST), has been described as false, the rumour that it has extended the resumption date for schools in the state.

The ministry, in a statement signed Friday by the Permanent Secretary, Emmanuel Idenyi, insisted that schools, parents and students must adhere strictly to the state calendar and resume on Monday, January 10, 2022.

The statement read in part: “Information reaching the Kogi State Ministry of Education, Science and Technology is that resumption date for primary and secondary schools in the state has been postponed.

“The management of the Ministry hereby dispels the rumour and wishes to inform the general public that resumption date for primary and secondary schools for the second term stands as scheduled on Monday 10 January 2022.

“The Ministry employs official means to disseminate information to the general public and would not for any reason rely on the grapevine or rumours to pass important announcements to the general public.”
