Burnley's hopes of clinching the Championship title were put on hold as they were held to a 2-2 draw by Rotherham on Tuesday.

Despite goals from Scott Twine and Manuel Benson giving Vincent Kompany's promoted side a comfortable lead, Rotherham fought back with Georgie Kelly's equalizer, earning them a deserved point.

The draw, combined with Sheffield United's 1-0 win against Bristol City, means Burnley will have to wait until Saturday, when they face QPR, to secure the top spot and the title.

Meanwhile, Sheffield United took a step closer to Premier League promotion as substitute James McAtee's second-half goal secured a 1-0 win against Bristol City.

The victory moved the Blades eight points clear of third-placed Luton with only four matches remaining, putting them in a strong position to join Burnley in the top-flight next season.
