Egyptian Investors Visit Buni, Seek Partnership On Agriculture

Egyptian Investors and makers of Tanta Motors Agricultural Implements have visited Yobe State Governor, Mai Mala Buni.

The investors expressed their readiness to partner the Yobe State Government to invest in agricultural development. 

The Executive Director of the Tanta Motors, Engr. Alaa Abou Freika, said they specialise in the production of agricultural machines.

"We produce Agricultural machines that are suitable for peculiar vegetation and topography.

"Yobe state has the land, water and population to boost agriculture and we are ready to provide the necessary machines to boost agricultural production in Yobe state," he said.

Mamman Mohammed, the spokesperson to the governor, made this known in a statement.

According to Mohammed, Governor Buni expressed his administration's commitment to the development of the agriculture sector to fight food scarcity and poverty. 

"With the improvement in security, our farmers can now access their farmlands and we will support them with farm inputs.

"Government would support irrigation farming to move our farmers from subsistence farming to commercial agriculture," Mohammad quoted the governor.
