The Kano State Government has declared a 10-day holiday for Eid-El-Kabir (Sallah) Celebration.
AllNews Nigeria understands that the holiday would begin on Thursday, July 7 (today) to Sunday, July 17.
The spokesperson of the Kano State Ministry of Education Alhaji Aliyu Yusuf directed all school heads to ensure boarding students return to school on July 17.
Day students are to resume on July 18, the date for resumption of academic activities.
All school administrators were instructed by the ministry to make sure boarding students returned to class on July 17.
The start of academic activities is scheduled for July 18, which also marks the return of day students.
The ministry further warned that defaulting students would face appropriate disciplinary action.
Meanwhile, the Buhari-led Federal Government of Nigeria declared a two-day public holiday from July 11 to 12, 2022.
