The Sarkin Yakin Keffi, Senator Ahmed Aliyu Wadada from  Nasarawa West has advised the Muslim ummah to continue to emulate the virtues and teachings of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).

Wadada, who gave the advice in his Eid-el-Maulud message to Muslims, on Wednesday, emphasised the need for all Muslims to abide by the Islamic injunctions in order to earn reward here and in the hereafter.

“On behalf of myself and family, I congratulate the Muslim Ummah in Nasarawa West Senatorial District and the state in general on the occasion of Maulud Nabiyy, our noble Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) for the Islamic year 1443 after Hijra.

“As we all know, Maulud – a celebration of the birth of Prophet Muhammad (SAW), is an occasion which calls for sober reflection and spiritual rejuvenation.

“As we celebrate this important moment, I urge all Muslims to adhere to that cardinal principle of peace upon which the religion of Islam is built.”

Senator Wadada also enjoined all Muslim faithful and the adherents of other religions to join their compatriots across the state to stop and ponder deeply on the challenges currently confronting us as a nation and as a people.

The lawmaker also emphasised the need for the people to imbibe the true meaning of piety, sacrifice, patience, tolerance and fellowship in their relationships and dealings with fellow human beings.

Wadada used the occasion to reiterate his commitment and determination to ensure effective representation for the people of Nasarawa West in the red chamber.

“It is a commitment that I am known for and I will continue to redouble efforts towards ensuring that our people enjoy more dividends of democracy by attracting more Federal Government projects and programmes in our areas.”
