Ekiti Again Postpones Resumption Of Private, Public Schools

The Ekiti State government has postponed the resumption date of the third term of the 2021/2022 academic session for private and public schools in the state from May 4 to May 9.

AllNews Nigeria, on Tuesday, reported that the government directed the schools to resume academic activities on Wednesday, May 4.

The Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Education, Science, and Technology, Dr. Folakemi Olomojobi, gave the directive in a circular made available to pressmen in Ado-Ekiti, on Wednesday.

In the circular which was signed by the Director of Schools, Remi Ajayi, Olomojobi explained that the postponement came after the Worker’s Day and Eid-el-Fitr holidays declared by the federal government.

“Consequently, schools’ resumption hitherto scheduled for Monday, May 2, has been postponed as a result of the public holidays to mark Workers’ Day and Sallah celebration," Olomojobi was quoted.
