Ekiti Amotekun Apprehends Seven For Various Offences

Ekiti State Amotekun Security Corps has announced that it has apprehended seven suspects for various criminal offences.

The suspects which included two women were arrested for burglary and armed robbery.

Speaking with Journalists in Ado Ekiti, the commandant of Amotekun in Ekiti State, Joe Komolafe explained that the suspects were arrested in Ara, Aisegba, and Ado Ekiti.

Komolafe said the suspects were arrested following a tip-off by members of the communities.

While explaining that two of the arrested suspects specialised in robbing motorists along Iluomoba- Aisegba road, he added that the remaining four specialised in snatching motorcycles.

The commandant, who said the suspects would be handed over to security agents for prosecution, revealed that two of them were ex-convicts.

Komolafe appealed to residents of the state to report any suspicious movement in their areas to security agents for prompt action.

Items recovered from them were four motorcycles, 16 phones, masks, knives and a water pumping machine.
