Voting was temporarily stopped at ward 9 of Gbonyin Local Government Area of Ekiti because of the disorderly conduct of electorates in the ongoing gubernatorial election in the state.
Reports have it that voters cramped themselves in the voting cubicle and refused to move back.
INEC officials said voting will start again when the voters arrange themselves orderly.
As of the time of this report, voting has commenced again.
The election is ongoing across the 16 local government areas of the state. Although there are 16 candidates in the election, it is a battle, essentially, among three parties – the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC); the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP); and the SDP.
