El-Rufai Commends Troops On Ambush Operation On Bandits

The Governor of Kaduna State, Nasir Ahmad El-Rufai, has commended troops of the Nigerian Army Operation Forest Sanity on the success recorded in the recent ambush operation on bandits in the state.

The governor commended the troops for especially eliminating a notorious bandit leader identified as Isiya Danwasa.

Danwasa was responsible for the killings, kidnappings and cattle rustling operations across the state.

This was contained in a statement on Tuesday by Samuel Aruwan, the state's Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs. 

During the ambush operation at Sabon Birni general area of the Igabi local government area of the state, the troops eliminated Danwasa alongside one other bandit. 

"Governor El-Rufai praised the troops for the diligent intelligence work and precise execution which led to the demise of Danwasa and his associate. 

"The Governor further appealed to members of the general public to continue to volunteer information to security forces," Aruwan stated.
