Election: Ogun NSCDC Assures Of Neutrality

The Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Ogun Command has assured the people of the state of adequate security and protection during the upcoming gubernatorial and State Houses of Assembly elections.

The NSCDC Ogun State Commandant, David Ojelabi, on Monday made this known during a strategic meeting with the command’s formations.

The commandant also commended their efforts during the February 25, 2023, Presidential and National Assembly elections.

Ojelabi explained that the strategic management meeting held congregated all area commanders and divisional officers from the state command.

He stressed that the meeting spelt out the modes of operations and the rules of engagement in executing the elections alongside other sister security agencies in the state.

"We are poised to ensure safe protection for voters and the protection of all critical national assets and infrastructure in the State before, during and after the elections.

“The people rely so much on our capabilities and we shouldn’t let them down by any means.

"The expectations from us all is to man our jurisdictions and give all our best to make this election a free, fair and credible one," he added.
