In what many will see as a major upset, Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi has triumphed over his counterpart Bola Tinubu in Lagos State in the presidential election.
According to the latest results released by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Obi polled 582,454 votes for Labour Party against Tinubu’s 572,606 for the APC.
Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) came in third.
It was previously reported that Obi was in the lead in 17 local government areas of Lagos State.
Reacting to the development, popular Nigerian skit maker Mr Macaroni stated that the margin between Labour Party and the APC should be more than INEC's figures.
He referred to the winning party in the state being mocked because of lack of structure, adding that those behind the mockery have been taught lessons.
"Despite all the violence and intimidation unleashed in Lagos, Peter Obi has won Lagos State!!!
"The margin should be way more!!! I just want the people to know that the power is in our hands!!!
