Elon Musk Responds To Twitter Lawsuit With Signature Meme

The CEO of Tesla Inc. and SpaceX, Elon Musk responded to Twitter Inc.'s plans to sue and require him to complete a $44 billion buyout of the firm with a lighthearted late-night statement.

The billionaire shared a meme on Monday that featured images of him grinning and wording that described one version of what had occurred in recent months without using his own words.

The world's richest man appears to be having fun with a complicated and pricey agreement that has pulled down Tesla stock and gone through multiple iterations of temporary funding.

Late in April, after buying a sizable position in the company and driving the stock price upward, Musk decided to take Twitter private at a price of $54.20 per share.

"On Friday, Twitter stock traded at $36.81, or one-third less than the price set for the acquisition.

Musk has voiced his growing dissatisfaction with the agreement and claimed Twitter withheld crucial information, such as the precise amount of phoney and automated accounts using the service.

“The Twitter Board is committed to closing the transaction on the price and terms agreed upon with Musk and plans to pursue legal action to enforce the merger agreement,” Twitter Chairman Bret Taylor tweeted on Friday.
