Emefiele: Nigerians React To CBN Governor's Suspension

Yesterday, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu suspended the Central Bank Governor, Godwin Emefiele.

This is according to a statement signed by Willie Bassey, the Director of Information.

According to the statement, this is sequel to the ongoing investigation of his office and the planned reforms in the financial sector of the economy. 

"Mr Emefiele has been directed to immediately hand over the affairs of his office to the Deputy Governor (Operations Directorate), who will act as the Central Bank Governor pending the conclusion of investigation and the reforms", part of the statement reads.

Godwin Emefiele corrupted the CBN and made nonsense of our exchange rates and forex market. The fiscal and monetary policies of the CBN under him did not help the country.

However, Mr Tinubu cannot remove him by virtue of Section 11 of the CBN Act without recourse to the Senate.

Godwin Emefiele is now a reject. No god will accept him. He dealt with Agbado during the Naira Redesign. He destroyed the Naira, & waged war against the youths (when he banned Crypto) & blocked the bank accounts of EndSARS peaceful protesters. Meffy is now an orphan, an outcast.
