In the wake of the suspension of Godwin Emefiele, the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), former senator Ben Murray-Bruce, has commended President Bola Tinubu for his decision-making abilities.
In a tweet, Murray-Bruce highlighted Tinubu’s accomplishments, including transforming Lagos into the sixth-largest economy in Africa and now leading the largest economy on the continent.
He urged everyone to keep a close eye on Tinubu’s future endeavours.
“President Bola Tinubu is making the right calls.
"He turned Lagos into the 6th largest economy in Africa, and now he is in charge of the largest economy in Africa.
“Watch out!” Murray-Bruce tweeted.

The Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, headed by George Akume, announced the immediate suspension of Emefiele on Friday.
According to a statement signed by Willie Bassey, the Director of Information, the suspension is a result of an ongoing investigation into Emefiele’s office and the planned reforms in the financial sector of the economy.
Emefiele has been directed to hand over the affairs of his office to the Deputy Governor (Operations Directorate), Folashodun Adebisi Shonubi.
This is the second time a CBN Governor has been suspended in Nigeria.
