The Emir of Daura, Katsina State, Umar Farouq, has said that the novel coronavirus is no joke.
Umar had tested positive for the virus but was given a clean bill of health just a few days ago from the Federal Medical Centre in Katsina.
Speaking on what he went through during his period of recovery from the disease, Umar said that the presence of the disease was a “dangerous period.”
He urged Nigerians to “return to God” and do well to augment the government's efforts in its fight against the disease.
The Emir was quoted by The PUNCH saying, “All praises be to Almighty Allah for taking us through this time, the most dangerous period in the entire world.
“I want to draw the attention of the people world over that the current pandemic is not a joke hence people should fear God and return to God.
“If the world is not settled, people should not expect anything good even if you are physically healthy. Let the governor know that I am now fully recovered.”
