Emir Sanusi urges muslims to embrace charity, peace, as Kano

The Emir of Kano, Malam Mohammad Sanusi, has called on Muslims to embrace the values of charity and peace, as they celebrate Eid-al-Adha.

In his sermon during the Eid prayers at Sheikh Ahmad Tijjani Jumu'at Mosque in Kofar Mata, Kano, the emir emphasized the importance of following Prophet Muhammad's teachings, which stress the need to help the needy, especially during this festive period.

Emir Sanusi urged the public to intensify prayers for peaceful coexistence in Kano State and the nation, promoting harmony and understanding among all.

Despite economic challenges, many residents performed the Sallah sacrifices and dressed colorfully, while security personnel were deployed to ensure peace and security.

However, some residents expressed disappointment over the cancellation of the Sallah durbar by security agencies due to security concerns.

The emir's message of charity and peace resonated throughout the celebrations, as Muslims in Kano came together to mark the occasion.
