#EndSars: BBNaija's Trikkytee Speaks On Demanding N500,000 To Protest In Bayelsa

#EndSars: BBNaija's Trikkytee Speaks On Demanding N500,000 T

Former BBNaija housemate Trikkytee has refuted claims of demanding a sum of N500, 000 for him to appear at an #EndSars protest in Bayelsa.

Trikytee demanded the fee, to gain more supports from the youths, according to a Twitter user, @GlorYBaee who shared a comment from a web user identified as Mc Ijawpikin.

The report said “We wanted him to come over, he said we should pay appearance fee, we said it’s as a means of support to bring the youths out, he said he can’t come, we offered to do logistics, Baba said logistics won’t do that 500k is appearance fee, we said ok if he can’t come he should support with a video since we can’t afford his appearance Baba said we should pay for the video shout out, that he is a Lagos based and has nothing to do with Bayelsa, Oh Akene you were not there to record this convo”

However, reacting in a series of tweets, the reality star debunked the claims, noting that he has over time joined the protest in Lagos.

He tweeted "The news making rounds online is completely false and should be treated as such. I am for a good Nigeria and an end to police brutality. I have been out almost every other day in Lagos protesting alongside concerned Nigerian youths."

"As a Nigerian youth, I am passionate about the movement to #EndSars and #EndPoliceBrutalityinNigeria. There's no way I would want to sit out the protest even when my management has requested I tone down. Why would I want to shortchange myself by asking for payment???

"I have seen tweets going round about me requesting for money to support the #Endsars protest with my people in Bayelsa.

Firstly that is not true and a lot of people can testify that I have been in support of this protest both online and offline."
