#EndSars: Buhari's Address One Of Hardest Things To Watch- T

Popular media personality, Toke Makinwa has described President Muhammadu Buhari's speech as the worst and one of the hardest things to watch.

AllNews earlier reported that  Buhari’s on Thursday gave a speech where he addressed the nation in response to the #EndSARS campaigners’ demands and pledged that extensive police reforms were underway.

He, however, failed to address the killing of unarmed #ENDSARS protesters by men of the Nigerian Army in Lekki.

In an Instagram post on Friday, October 23, Makinwa described the country's situation in the past two weeks as many lives and businesses were lost.

"The last 2 weeks have been a lot for my country Nigeria and I, we’ve been through irreplaceable loss of Lives, hopes, dreams have been cut short, businesses ruined and unimaginable pain felt.

While speaking on the president's address, the media personality said: "Last night, the worst Address from our commander in chief was one of the hardest things to watch. I woke up this morning feeling confused and I decided to remind myself of who I am, what I have been able to create for myself even in a system that’s designed to make me fail and that spirit that is indestructible.

"The true Nigerian spirit. Bruised but not broken, crushed but not defeated, I know we all feel lost now, take a day or two off, look at all you’ve survived and try to find that strength to push through. Some find it in comedy, whatever works for you, take some time to heal mentally, you deserve it. My non Nigerian family, pray for all your Nigerian friends in this time, we will come out stronger."
