#EndSars: My Heart Is Broken For Nigeria- Rihanna

Barbadian singer, Rihanna has lent her voice to the brutality meted out on Nigerians citizens, saying her heart is broken for the country.

Rihanna’s reaction is coming moment after gunfire opened on #EndSars protestors at the Lekki tollgate area of Lagos state on Tuesday, October 20.

AllNews earlier reported that the protesters at the Lekki tollgate came under heavy gunfire, shortly after the state governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu announced a 24-hour curfew, due to perceived violence.

Several were injured as many fled for their lives upon the gunfire, after soldiers arrived at the protest ground around 6:30 pm on Tuesday, October 20.

Reacting on her social media page, the singer condemned brutalisations across the planet, just as she lauded Nigerians for their strengths in the fight against it.

She said “I can’t bear to see this torture and brutalization that is continuing to affect nations across our planet. It is such a betrayal to the citizens, the very people put in place to protect are the ones we are most afraid of being murdered by. My heart is broken for Nigeria. It is unbearable to watch.

“I’m so proud of your strength and for not letting up on the fight for what is right. #EndSARS,” she added.
