Former President of the Nigerian Senate Olubukola Saraki has urged Nigerians to push for the creation of a decentralised Community police department that will become a part of the neighborhood and known by all residents.
Saraki who took to his social media page to for the second time to lend his voice to the #ENDSARS agitation explained that the community police department should be equipped to address the unique security needs of each community.
It will be recalled that Saraki who first reacted to the #ENDSARS protest on Sunday while calling or the disbandment of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad Unit of the Nigerian police force, said that he could no longer fold his arm and watch while the situation of the country got worse.
