Nigerian music artist Eedris Abdulkareem has reacted to the 'Peace Walk' initiative by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State, calling it "dead on arrival."
Sanwo-Olu had sent out an open invitation to rapper Falz and comedian Mr. Macaroni but both had declined, giving reasons for their decision.
Following in their footsteps, popular activist Rinu Oduala had told the governor that he would walk by himself on the scheduled day, and now Eedris has also shared his take on the issue.
Speaking via an online post, the Jagajaga crooner stated that no amount of walking would get citizens to the destination of peace without the route of justice being taken.
Addressing Sanwo-Olu, Eedris told him the 'Peace Walk' idea was "dead on arrival".
"No amount of walking can get us to the destination of peace without taking the honourable route of justice. Sanwo-Olu, your 'Walk of Peace' is dead on arrival", he wrote.
