Shehu Sani, the former Senator representing Kaduna central senatorial district at the Nigeria Senate has advised Muslim clerics who are calling for the punishment of Aisha Yesufu for joining the #ENDSARS protest.
Sani who took to his Twitter page to advise the Muslim clerics told them to appreciate her courage strength and resilience.

Sani who pointed out that her actions might be unpleasant to the clerics now further told them that they might be needing her to put up the same courage in the nearest future.
"To my revered Clerics;Be soft & kind to Aisha Yesufu & appreciate her courage, resilience & struggles;It May be unpleasant for you now,but you would need her someday to raise the fists & march towards the flames when the table of Injustice or power turns the opposite direction," a tweet by Sani read.
It will be recalled that Yesufu had come under fire for lending her voice to the #ENDSARS protest, with famous popular northern figures and actors calling for the persecution of the activist, as she has been termed to be going against her religious beliefs as a Muslim.
