#EndSars: Silence From Churches, GOs So Loud- Daddy Freeze

Controversial on-air personality, Daddy Freeze has called out Nigerian pastors over their silence about the ongoing protest calling for an end to the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS).

AllNews reports that top personalities and other citizens in the country have over time called for an end to the anti-robbery squad, as a result of the incessant killing of youths.

In the past few days, renewed protests have rocked major cities in Nigeria, with the youths calling for a scrap of the unit of Nigeria police.

As part of his campaign against the anti-robbery squad, Freeze who is known to be a strong religion critic, in a tweet, said he observed that only a few church leaders have spoken about the brutality meted out on youths by SARS.

He also urged the men of God and churches to break their silence, while asking them to stand with people, just as Martin Luther King did.

“The silence from the Churches/GOs regarding #EndSARS is so loud! Except for a few that spoke earlier, everyone else in church leadership is so conspicuously silent? Please, I plead with you, Stand with the people like Martin Luther King did! He was a reverend! ~FRZ #SARSMUSTEND,” he tweeted.

AllNews earlier reported that a singer, Erigga who joined in the protest against SARS, in a tweet on Tuesday, October 6, also questioned Nigerian pastors over their silence on SARS brutality.
