Enugu Bans Social, Sporting Activities In Public Schools

Enugu Bans Social, Sporting Activities In Public Schools

The Enugu State Government has on Monday banned the unauthorized usage of public schools for social and sporting activities.

The ban was issued by the State's Commissioner for Education, Professor Uche Eze, who said the ban was sequel to attempts by unpatriotic individuals to steal government facilities put in place for the advancement of education in the state.

The statement read “Consequently, the government has directed that no social or sporting activities shall take place in any of the state public educational institutions without the approval
of the Commissioner of Education."

He ended by saying all heads of primary, secondary, and tertiary institutions are directed to ensure strict compliance with government directives.
