Enugu Education Institute Matriculates 139 Students 

The Institute of Ecumenical Education (IEcE), Thinkers Corner, Enugu on Sunday matriculated 139 students into the institution for the 2022/2023 academic session.

139 students matriculated into the Institute of Ecumenical Education (IEcE), Thinkers Corner, Enugu on Sunday for the 2022/2023 academic session.

The information is contained in a statement by the institution’s Provost, Rev. Fr. Christian Anieke, signed by its Acting Public Relations Officer, Godwin Umeh on Sunday in Enugu.

The Institute of Ecumenical Education IEcE is a private Institute of the Catholic Church, situated at Thinkers Corner, Enugu State.

According to Prof. Anieke, 58 of the 139 matriculants are regular NCE students, 44 are Sandwich and 37 are Nanny students.

The provost who doubles as the Vice Chancellor of Godfrey Okoye University and its group of institutions said the matriculation was the 42nd of its kind.

He added that the institution had been recognised at many teachers' training institutions across Nigeria and has contributed immensely to the training of quality teachers for the nursery, primary and secondary levels.

He said the institution had also been ranked highly by Webmatrics -an initiative by the Countryrics Lab, Spain.

Anieke also noted that the management of the institute aims at making it the best college of education in Nigeria.

“The commitment of the management and staff is to continue to train spiritually and morally sound graduates in all areas of education.

“You, the new students should get ready for the task ahead and be determined to achieve your life ambition,” the Provost said

Stephanie Okoye, a student of the institution who represented the student body, said they were blessed to be part of an institution rooted in Christianity and morality.

Okoye also commended the Provost of the institution for his good works, describing him as a role model, and a disciplined and God-fearing man.
