The manager of Enyimba, George Finidi, has attributed his side's defeat to their inability to pay attention to "little details" against Akwa United on matchday 12 of the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL).
Enyimba fell to a 1-0 defeat on Sunday at the Nest of Champions in Uyo.
The decisive goal was scored by Uche Collins in the 73rd minute to enable the Promise Keepers to reduce the lead of league leaders Bendel Insurance to four points.
Speaking at his post-match conference, Finidi said: “It was a fairly balanced game but at the end of the day we didn’t pay attention to those little details and we suffer the consequences.
“I think my boys did well, maybe we didn’t push hard enough, especially in the first half.”
The People's Elephants are now winless in their last three games, drawing two and losing one.
They occupy the fifth position on the log in Group A table with 18 points from 12 games.
