A solitary goal was just enough for Enyimba to defeat Abia Warriors in a friendly clash at the Enyimba Stadium at the weekend.
Emeka Obioma only needed a deft touch to separate the two sides after receiving a clever pass from Othuke Egbo.
The goal from Obioma came after thirty minutes of a scintillating game.
After the game, a statement from the club noted that the friendly was to prepare the team for their opening NPFL game which commenced on Sunday.
"The friendly was in preparation for Enyimba’s league opener against Plateau United in Jos on January 15," the eight-time NPFL champions wrote.
Enyimba's last season's NPFL campaign was their worst in a decade.
Finidi George's side finished seventh in the final league standing and lost their last game 1-0 against Plateau United the last time they played in Jos.
