English Premier League Champions, Liverpool is to face the newly-promoted side, Leeds United on opening day and matchday 1 of the EPL season 2020-21. The Premier League is scheduled to start on Saturday, September 1, 2020.
The EPL season ended with Liverpool crowned Champions of England and Watford, Norwich and Bournemouth relegated to the EFL Championship the second tier of English football.
Leeds United, Fulham, and West Bromwich also gained promotion to the EPL from the EFL Championship based on the ranking on the final day of the season.

AllNews understands that Leeds United has been busy in the transfer window trying to build a strong team that can compete in the EPL and would resist been sent back to second-tier next season. Liverpool also has been busy doing major signings especially with the loss of Dejan Lovren to Zenit Saint Petersburg.
