Manchester City secured their fifth Premier League title in six seasons with a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Chelsea at the Etihad Stadium.

The jubilant City fans celebrated their team's triumph, and midfielder Ilkay Gundogan lifted the trophy amidst a sea of ecstatic supporters.

The title was sealed on Saturday when Arsenal, City's closest contenders, suffered a 1-0 defeat at the hands of Nottingham Forest, allowing Pep Guardiola's side to mathematically clinch the championship.

City further extended their remarkable run by notching their 12th consecutive league win, courtesy of a first-half goal from Julian Alvarez. Their unbeaten streak in all competitions now stands at an impressive 24 matches.

Speaking before the game, Guardiola acknowledged the significance of winning three consecutive Premier League titles and praised the quality of their opponents throughout the season. Liverpool had been their fierce rivals in the past, and this year, Arsenal posed a formidable challenge, pushing City to their limits.

The City team bus arrived at the Etihad Stadium amid a raucous atmosphere as fans, waving flags and setting off blue smoke flares, greeted their victorious team. The scenes reflected the club's dynastic success and the admiration of their supporters.

With a seven-point lead over Arsenal and only two matches remaining, Manchester City has the opportunity to solidify their status as one of English football's greatest teams by clinching further silverware.

Their focus now turns to the FA Cup final against Manchester United at Wembley on June 3, followed by a clash against Inter Milan in the Champions League final in Istanbul a week later. Guardiola's side aims to secure the coveted treble, emulating their rivals, Manchester United, who achieved the feat in 1999.

Before the match, the Chelsea players paid homage to their victorious counterparts by forming a guard of honour. Manchester City's players, accompanied by their children, walked onto the pitch while the club anthem, 'Blue Moon,' resounded throughout the Etihad Stadium.
