EPL: Bournemouth Stun Tottenham As Spurs Halt In Title Race

Bournemouth v Tottenham

Bournemouth pulled off a sensational last-minute victory against Tottenham Hotspur, winning 3-2 in a thrilling Premier League match on Saturday.

Dango Ouattara's stunning finish in the fifth minute of stoppage time sent Bournemouth fans into raptures and left Tottenham reeling.

Tottenham had a chance to boost their hopes of finishing in the top four after third-placed Newcastle United's defeat at Aston Villa earlier in the day.

They took the lead in the 14th minute when Son Heung-min found the back of the net.

However, Bournemouth fought back and punished Tottenham's defensive errors as Matias Vina equalized in the 38th minute after a mistake by Pedro Porro.

Bournemouth then took a shock lead in the 51st minute when Dominic Solanke scored with a close-range finish, putting the visiting fans in ecstasy.

Tottenham responded with intensity, and Arnaut Danjuma's left-footed effort in the 70th minute set up a thrilling finale.

But just as Tottenham were pushing for a winner, Bournemouth broke away, and Ouattara cut in from the left before scoring a right-footed finish beyond Hugo Lloris in the 95th minute, securing a dramatic victory for the relegation battlers.

The win boosts Bournemouth's survival prospects in the Premier League, as they now have 33 points, six points clear of the relegation zone and third-from-bottom Nottingham Forest.

Meanwhile, Tottenham's hopes of finishing in the top four took a blow as they remain in fifth place with 53 points from 31 games, three points behind Manchester United and Newcastle United, who have played fewer games.
