EPL: Man City Breeze Past Aston Villa To Close Gap In Title Race, Haaland Injured

Manchester City dominated Aston Villa in a commanding 3-1 victory on Sunday to close the gap on leaders Arsenal to just three points.

The game was not without its concerns, however, as Erling Haaland was forced off at halftime due to injury.

Haaland was involved in a collision with Villa goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez and appeared to injure his thigh. Despite the setback, the Norwegian superstar played on till the break, showing no ill effects as his blistering pace helped set up City's second goal. Haaland's performance was a testament to his resilience and determination.

City now face a top-of-the-table Premier League clash against Arsenal at the Emirates on Wednesday.

The English champions will be hoping to continue their winning streak and put pressure on the leaders. The game promises to be an intense affair, with both teams determined to come out on top.

Riyad Mahrez was also in top form, converting a penalty late in the half to give City a comfortable 3-0 lead at the interval. 

In seven days' time, City will return to Champions League action against RB Leipzig.
