EPL: Matic To Leave Manchester United In June

EPL: Matic To Leave Manchester United In June

Manchester United midfielder, Nemanja Matic, will reportedly leave Manchester United in the summer when his contract expires.

Despite having featured in all three of United’s last matches in all competitions, the Serbian star has had a really torrid season under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, making just 22 appearances.

And according to Calcio Mercato, Matic is set to bring his frustration to an end by leaving the club when his contract expires by the summer.

With the midfielder free to sign a pre-contract with other clubs, his agents have started offering him around to a series of clubs and three sides in Italy have been credited with interests in the 31-year-old.

AC Milan have already turned down the opportunity to sign him due to his €10million-a-year (£8.3m) salary while Juventus are also in the mix, although they have delayed negotiations while they come up with their plans for the summer.

Inter Milan are also rumored to be interested, despite bringing Christian Eriksen from Tottenham Hotspur during the January window although they are unlikely to make a move since they have a packed midfield.

The Nerazzurri secured the services of three premier league stars in January including United's Ashley Young, Chelsea's Victor Moses, and Tottenham's Eriksen to add to Alexis Sanchez who is on a season-long loan.

United and Matic take on Club Brugge in the second leg of their Europa League first knockout round clash on Thursday night and Solskjaer will be hoping for a win at Old Trafford, having drawn the first leg 1-1 last week.
