EPL: Navas Stars On Debut As Nottingham Forest Edge Leeds United

Keylor Navas made a memorable debut for Nottingham Forest in their 1-0 Premier League win over Leeds United on Sunday.

The 36-year-old Costa Rican goalkeeper, on loan from Paris Saint-Germain, was key in securing the three points for his new club with a string of brilliant saves.

Forest took the lead through Brennan Johnson after a foul by Leeds defender Pascal Struijk and a botched clearance.

Johnson's rasping volley was the only goal of the match and gave the home side the advantage.

Despite Leeds dominating possession, Navas was able to keep the visitors from finding the back of the net with his quick reflexes.

Neco Williams had a chance to double Forest's lead early in the second half but he missed the top-right corner.

Despite Forest's limited forays forward, they were able to hold onto their lead and defend their lines, allowing Navas to secure the win in his debut.

The victory extends Forest's unbeaten run in the Premier League to five games and moves them up to 13th in the table with 24 points.

On the other hand, Leeds remains above the relegation zone with 17 points and without a Premier League win since November 5.
