Super Eagles of Nigeria and Leicester City midfielder, Wilfred Ndidi, is anxious to feature in next season's UEFA Champions League (UCL) with the English Premier League (EPL) club, AllNews reports.
After 30 games and with eight games left, The Foxes are third on the log with 54 points, three clear of Chelsea who presently occupy the last Champions League slot.
"It would be a plus to us," Ndidi said according to Football Daily.
"Also, the players and our careers playing in the Champions League.
"But it is something we have to work for.
"Yeah, we've been doing well in the past games, but these eight games remaining is so important for us to actually stay there and be in the Champions League.
"It's not about the other teams, where they are at the table.
"If we do our best and get the points, we'll go up."

Following Tuesday's news that Portugal international, William Carvalho has reached an agreement with Leicester City, fans on social media are wondering whether Ndidi's three-year stay at the King Power Stadium has come to an end.
According to Radio MARCA Sevilla, while Leicester and Carvalho have agreed terms, the English side are not yet offering close to what Real Betis are requesting.
A percentage of any transfer fee would go to Carvalho's previous club, Sporting CP.
William Carvalho joining Leicester City would be brilliant for both parties.
Ndidi is better than William at this point, but it is important to note how much Leicester struggle without Ndidi- like they did in early 2020. Carvalho could add depth, with UCL football coming in.

Just know that Leicester signing William doesn’t mean that Ndidi is leaving and his place in the starting 11 is shaky

This would be an interesting signing for Leicester. I wonder if they are anticipating Ndidi's departure or will the two of them play together. Top signing for them regardless. https://t.co/fk07jakoq0
